Welcome To Kaitiaki Lodge
The word kaitiaki means guardianship in Māori. Māori have always understood that we don’t own property or land, rather we are the custodians of it during our time here.
It is our privilege to share this beautiful piece of New Zealand with you.
Kaitiaki lodge offers 5 large bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, two living rooms, a home-office, swimming pool, hot tub and a private, 20 minute nature walk.

Upon entering the lodge, you are greeted by a stunning interior with sustainable materials throughout. The interior fuses dark natural tones with a huge amount of light coming from the floor to ceiling windows at the front of the house.
The perfect spot for family holidays, get togethers with friends, wedding parties, corporate getaways and luxury retreats.

The kitchen is state-of-the-art with Fisher and Paykel appliances, induction and gas hobs, large fridge freezer and an espresso machine.
A carefully considered bar area and large kitchen island gives you a great social space that flows into the rest of the living area.
Make new memories
A large custom-made dining table seats 10 comfortably and the bespoke wrap around sofa takes advantage of the magnificent views over the native bush and the ocean beyond.
Outside the living area is a large entertaining deck with lounge furniture, huge automated awnings to keep the sun off and a fireplace to keep you warm on colder nights.

The spacious Master Suite features a private balcony with stunning views, walk in wardrobe, ensuite and a private Sonos speaker system.

The Master Ensuite features underfloor heating, dual basins and a privacy switch allowing the window to be fully dimmed, if required.

Guest Suites
There are four spacious guest suites on the lower four, each with direct pool access, individual climate control and complimentary robes.

Lower Floor Bathrooms
Two lower floor bathrooms serve the four guest bedrooms and feature underfloor heating and luxurious showers with a rain option.

Heading downstairs you reach another large lounge area with a comfortable, bespoke sofa and a large smart TV. In this area you will find a wet bar with its own fridge freezer – perfect for preparing your poolside cocktails.
You’ll also find the laundry area with washer and dryer.
Your Private Pool & Spa
The pool deck is nestled into the native forest where the
9 metre Heated Pool and Cedar Hot Tub complete your Kaitaiki experience.
Start your day with a walk in nature
If you are feeling adventurous you can take a stroll through 10 acres of private nature reserve. We have carefully constructed a track that winds its way through the forest and have worked hard to create an environment that protects the native species of plant and birds that are abundant in the area.
In our forest you will see (or hear) Tūī (Parson Bird), Kererū (Wood Pigeon), Kākā (Bush Parrot), Ruru (Morepork – our native owl), Pīwakawaka (Fan Tails) and much more.
You will also see native Puriri trees and Nikau Palms that are over 500 years old!
The Lodge was built with love at its core. Everyone who has participated in the design, construction and running of this Lodge has been chosen for their passion and love of what they do.
